Hulton care home is the best,

When you reach the age,

That you need a rest.

Put your trust in all that they do,

Whatever your needs,

They’ll look after you.

Noreen’s in charge,

She’s a real Queen Bee,

Busy working in her office,

From the lounge you can see.

There’s Angela and Shannon,

Head of the crew,

Who look after residents and their families too.

There’s Abbie, Yvonna and Mrs Rushton of course,

Who goes as fast as a top grade race horse.

From laundry to kitchen,

 To the cleaning team,

They’ll ensure you’re not hungry

 And make everything gleam.

Of course there is Liam,

The ‘Entertainment King’

Who’ll make everyone smile,

 Play games or even sing.

At night you’ll meet Jodie,

(A favourite of Mum’s)

Who quite often would share her many Wine Gums!

(Fruit Pastilles actually).

In the lounge there are chairs

 To have a snooze and a rest,

The one in the corner 

Was the one Mum liked best.

With fish in a tank,

 A bird just across,

‘Have they been fed?’

Mum would ask like the boss!

A bright cheery, dining room,

Fresh flowers about,

Hulton Care Home makes sure,

Nothing’s left out.

So if you reach that stage in life,

When things don’t work as well,

And you need a little helping hand,

It’s Hulton you can tell.

They’ll be on hand,

 To listen, help and care,

So quality time with friends and family,

Is something you can share.

Hulton’s a special place,

The home where you want to be,

 It’s not just a place of work,

In general, the summer is a more carefree season, reminding us all to live in the moment. Seniors know this better than anyone, taking joy from all aspects of life and making new memories during their golden years.

CareDocs is finally here !!!!!

We put our residents at the heart of the software becuase we understand that the more detail we provide, the better the service will be. CareDocs naturally encourages engagement and through care recording by asking the staff to enter detailed text entries instead of simply ticking boxes or selecting icons. Additionally, our comprehensive CARE ASSESSMENTS are expertly crafted by people with many years of real residentail expiereince. 

The software was orininally created to remove time-consuming tasks from the care process and has evolved over time to adapt to the chnaging needs of residential care homes. Switching to a digital system also doesn't mean making traditional practices more difficult- you can easily share your care records with external health professionals or regulators by printing or exporting files to PDF for email attachements.

This holiday season is unlike any other, to cap off a year unlike any other. Throughout this season, and as we move into a new (and hopefully better) year, we wish you moments of peace amid the difficulties, connections with family and friends even if they can’t be in person, the warmth of memories from holidays past, and wonderful glimpses of the joy that still lives under the surface. We wish you endurance, strength, health, and as much happiness as these times can allow!

Hulton care home has recently taken delivery of its newest activities hardware, 

OCCULUS VIRTUAL REALITY 3D HEADSET !! 

The response has been mindblowing, to say the least. The residents have absolutely loved this device.

To achieve and encourage our residents independence and choices, we placed patio doors in our lounge area to add a visual view to encourage our residents into our garden area. 

Ramps and handrails were fitted to ensure safety, we added a dementia garden with comfortable furniture and included wall art and wind chimes, lavender plants and flowers for the residents to enjoy. Our residents can sit peacefully and watch our chickens cluck away with the added benefit of fresh air. 

We have also included into our activities some technology to enhance movement and family connections. We encourage Skype call in the home which has a huge benefit of contact that our residents really enjoy using, laptops and tablets to encourage reminiscence conversation as you can get any pictures up form the internet and we have a wii in the home that everyone enjoys, music and movement on a different level, and we always say laughter is the best medicine.  

Over the past twelve months we have been concentrating on improving the quality of our environment.  With this in mind we have specifically payed attention to on encouraging our residents to independently enjoy the outdoors within our grounds. 

We asked our residents what they would like to have in our garden areas. “Animals” was one of our request. We purchased chickens for our residents to enjoy all year around.
